Riding Paulie...

The kids have been wanting to ride a horse/mule for awhile now and we were finally able to make it work.  As soon as they found out they were going down to Grandpa Williams to ride the went downstairs and found all their cowboy stuff Grandma had made them.  Aren't they cute little cowboy's??

Western Regionals 2011...

The Western Regional wrestling tournament was in Pocatello this year so even though they don't have a pre-bantam age group for Anthony to wrestle in we decided to take him because we did not know when it would be close again.  For Anthony wrestling kids who are 6-8 years old he did SO well.  He lost his 1st one, won his 2nd one and lost his 3rd one.  He ended up in 7th place and we couldn't have been more proud of him. He was excited to get new singlets and all his Team Idaho gear!  Now onto baseball and flag football until wrestling starts again in the fall....this kid LOVES to wrestle!
And he LOVES his brother and was excited that Owen was there to watch him!

Slip n' Slide...

Yahoo!  It is finally warm enough here in Eastern Idaho to get wet outside!!  The kids have been loving getting into water every day. It usually doesn't last very long each time, but Anthony and Jenna are old enough to get in and out of their suits by themselves and Lydia just wants to live in hers :)...so it works out well. I hope the warm weather stays around for a while.  This year has been quite a different experience...only warm by the end of June!

More fishing...

We had some extra worms from the last time we went fishing and the kids wanted/needed something to do (or maybe that was me), so Dad decided to take us all fishing!  We went out to Robert's Pond and although the kids got more activity from throwing rocks, playing with dirt and making mud than we did from fishing, we all had a great time getting out of the house!

It is fun to have so many things to go out and do in the summertime!

Ouch...

Jake was/is training for a 1/2 and a full marathon this year and when he was out doing his training run 2 days before his first 1/2 marathon, he ended up getting bit by a dog. Jake said he wasn't sure if the dog bite hurt worse or the tetanus shot he went and got afterward.  Luckily, he was still able to run his half marathon and get a really good time!!

1 week old...

I really love this picture because it shows Owen just how I saw him in all the ultrasounds I had to do since he was over due.  Every single one had him with his hands right up by his face...so cute!!!

Coach Pitch Baseball...

Anthony has graduated from t-ball...and is LOVING it.  When he plays a sport, he goes all out.  He now wants to practice baseball every second that Jake is home.  Some how, Mom just doesn't cut it when he wants to practice.  I love his drive in trying to be the best he can.  He has done really well considering he is the the youngest and almost the smallest in his league.

He especially loved that Grandpa Guymon was here for his first few practices since I had just had Owen and Anthony got to learn from him--he still talks about it!

Go Gray Sharks!!!

Isn't he lucky??

Owen has 3 siblings that LOVE him to pieces...even more than he can handle sometimes!
I love seeing the older 2 reading him stories!

Owen Stephan...

Owen Stephan Williams has finally arrived!!!

Wow, what an emotional, hard, tiring last 9 days of pregnancy. Going that far past ones due-date is NOT fun.  I was only able to do it because I knew Heavenly Father wanted me to wait...either Owen wasn't ready to come or I wasn't ready to have him here. I will never know, but I do know that I am grateful I listened and waited for the time to be right.

My last pregnancy picture...

 Owen ready to come home...

 Cleaning him up...
 8 lbs 5 oz, 20 inches long...
One proud Dad...Jake was even the one to tell me it was a boy this time and I heard it :)...The times before it was a nurse who told me and another time I didn't hear it and had to be told several times...
 His first bath...
 All wrapped up and sleeping...
The kids meeting him for the first time....LOVE this picture...it brings so much joy to my heart!!

Here is the birth story for those of you who want to read it....

We had to go in on Tuesday evening because my body wasn't 'ready' to be started yet.  They gave me a pill of Cytotec which is used to help ready the cervix for labor.  I slept horrible that night with the monitors on, Owen moving all the time and so we were ready for the morning.  The nurse started me on the very lowest dose of pitocin at 7 o'clock in the morning.  The doctor came in a little after 8 o'clock, broke my water and upped the dose of Pitocin.  Jake and I started playing cards and around 9:30 or so I had to start breathing through my contractions...nothing serious just had to focus on them a little more.  Around, 10 I had to stop the game since I was not focused on it at all.  The nurse checked me at 10:15 and I was at a 6, 80% effaced.  After the next contraction I asked her for some pain medicine, but she didn't think we had enough time for it since they like to have 2 hours so that it does not get into the baby's system.  At that point the contractions were pretty intense but I was still staying calm and not tensing up so I felt confident in going forward without anything....plus I had no choice at that point.  She checked me again around 10:35, ran out the door and said call the doctor quick.  She came in and started prepping me for the delivery and stated she could deliver the baby but would prefer the doctor be there so if I could just breath through the contractions instead of pushing....yeah, right but I tried!  The doctor got there, got 'dressed' and turned around to help out.  He was still putting on his gloves when the head came out.  Jake said the nurses were teasing the doctor that he could catch a baby without gloves on but he got them on just in time.
One more push and Owen was here at 10:44 AM!

Jake told me it was a Boy with the biggest smile on his face....I had a pretty big one on too!  A wonderful, quick delivery even when I had to be induced and a beautiful baby boy ... I couldn't have asked for more (except maybe not having to go 9 days over my due date).  But I have always wanted a June baby and finally got one...just didn't think I would be due in May and have him in June :)!!
