I won a new couch...

There was a contest on Facebook from a local furniture place that was Refresh your Space.  We had to upload a picture of our ugly furniture, get the most votes and then we would win $250 towards a new piece of furniture.  Well, my couch was ugly enough (or I had enough friends help me), that I won!  I was so, so excited.  I have wanted/needed a new couch for a really long time and was so excited to go get one.  We came home with this beautiful pressed leather, chocolate brown one...much better than our old, torn, stained cream one!  I cannot believe it took us this long to get a new one.  We bought these cream ones USED when we first got married almost 9 years ago!

Pulling up...

 Have I mentioned that Owen is into everything?  He has figured out how to crawl, climb up the stairs and pull himself up to everything all in a matter of a week.  He thinks he is so funny when he gets himself standing up.  He will just giggle and giggle at himself.   We think he is pretty cute too!  

This is him at 8 months old...

*He can crawl, pull himself up and climb up the stairs

*He loves to eat baby food and real people food including grapes, bananas, bread and strawberries

*He wears size 2 diapers but only until I finish them, he desperately needs to be in  size 3
*He wears 9-12 month clothes

*He sleeps through the night

*He LOVES his sisters, brother and Mom

*He is very vocal about his wants

*When in his carseat and the cover is over him, he pulls it up and peaks out....so cute!

*The kids call him tubby

*He has 8 teeth

*He is loved by all!!

Cookie anyone?

 Our treat for Family Home Evening a little while ago was Oreos.  Owen is pretty demanding when he sees food he wants...bellers, grunts and yells until he gets it.  So, the pictures certainly see who won that battle.  He enjoyed every last bite of that oreo cookie!

Learning to crawl...

 Owen has been trying to crawl for quite some time and it was frustrating him SO bad that he couldn't figure it out.  Well, one day, he just figured it out!  He has been crawling now for about a week and LOVES that he can get around.  He also has recently figured out how to climb up the stairs, now if only he could figure out how to go down so he didn't fall down all the time.  I cannot believe he is old enough to crawl and climb stairs...it goes so fast!

Finally some snow...

 Grandpa and Grammie Williams kept the girls while Jake and I took the boys, including Justin, to a tournament in Heber City Utah.  While we were gone they decided that the girls NEEDED pink snow clothes instead of Anthony's hand-me-downs.  They have been able to wear their coats, but not the snow pants yet.  The MINUTE it snowed, Lydia was asking to go out in the snow so she could wear her pants.  We found some awesome gloves that have sleeves that go clear up to their armpits to keep the snow out of their little mittens, so they had a GREAT time out in the snow this time.  The girls were so excited to have girl snow clothes!

Sisterly love...

 Jenna love Owen and in turn Owen LOVES Jenna.  She loves pushing him around in these boxes, she loves picking him up and trying to hold him, she loves to just be there for him to play by.  I am so grateful for the love the other 3 kids show Owen.  Lydia and Anthony are great with him too and for that I will be forever grateful. I hope that all 4 of them stay forever friends and know how much fun they had as kids together!

Yummy, Yummy...

 Owen got his first taste of the yummy beaters....to say he enjoyed it would be a HUGE understatement.  He was not happy when they were all gone.  I love his little face all messy and so happy!

 Lydia got to enjoy a few licks too...I love her little tongue :)!
