In Step Clogging..

We wanted Jenna to be able to do something fun that was just for her.  One of our good friends Kas Parker has a clogging studio so we thought that might be fun.  During the summer they had a clogging "camp" and I took her to that to see if she would want to do that....she loved it, so we signed her up.  She now goes to class once a week and loves that her friend Brinley Christensen is in her class.  It is fun to see them try to figure out what they are doing...it isn't easy teaching 5, 4-year-old kids to do the same thing at the same time :).  They will eventually get it though!  We will see how long Jenna lasts but for now she is really enjoying it!

Flag Football 2011...

Anthony chose to do flag football again this year instead of soccer and he has loved it.  It is fun to see how their team has improved since last year.  This year their team is the Carolina Panthers.  This is the only game I have gotten pictures of and I missed the picture that I wanted/needed to get because I was too busy cheering.  The coach did a trick play and handed Anthony the ball and everyone thought he was going to run it.  Instead Anthony threw it to his teammate, who caught it and ran into the end-zone for a touchdown.  Anthony even got knocked down and had to get up and look through all the kids to see if his teammate caught it!  Jake was even there to see it and we were both so excited for Anthony---he threw his first touchdown pass at 6 years old :)!!!  Love our little athlete!!

Jenna goes to preschool...

Oh how I love this girl.  She is just growing up too fast!  I am having a harder time letting her grow up than it was for me to watch Anthony grow up, not sure why though!  She was so excited to go to preschool and still asks EVERY day if it is a school day.  I am glad she has blossomed so much in the last year or so and that she enjoys going to public places.  It will be fun to watch her grow and develop even more throughout this school year.

Geocaching...

When we went camping over Labor Day the only pictures I captured were of us on our treasure hunt...Geocaching.  The kids had so much fun with this little adventure that Grandma organized!  It was fun to see them go hiking with their backpacks and find the hidden treasure with Grandpa in the lead!!  Such a fun activity for little kids.

Happy Birthday Mom...

I had such a fun birthday this year!  It started out with a balloon and a rose from Jake in the morning and just got better from there.  I was spoiled all day with wonderful messages from the people who surround me and love me so much.  It was capped off by my parents coming up and going to a Chukar's game with us.  We had dinner at the park and then had a great time watching baseball!  After the baseball game the kids got to run around the bases and there were HUGE fireworks just for me on my birthday :)....oh it might have been because it was the last home game...but I like to think it was for my birthday.  They also got their hand signed by Charlie the Chuckar!  FUN FUN!!  After that we went camping for Labor Day weekend and had a wonderful time doing that too...can't wait for next year....or maybe not as it puts me one year closer to 30!!!

1st day of 1st grade...

Here is Anthony on his 1st day of 1st grade (actually the 2nd day of school because he was throwing up all night the night before the 1st so we kept him home).  He was so excited to go to 1st grade, eat lunch at school and stay there all day!  I told him I was going to miss him when he was gone all day and he said, "It's okay Mom, I will be home after school and you can have me then."  I love this big boy!  We actually went school shopping together so he would actually wear the things we bought, so far it has worked out really well.  Gotta love how picky he is :)!!  He has Mrs. Croft for 1st grade and he couldn't be happier that his best friend Brady Christensen is in his class and that they got to sit by each other.  I sure hope he keeps his love for school like he has this year!!

Hyrum Dam...

We had so much fun. The weather was perfect, warm enough you wanted to be in the water but not too cold to be wet!  Lydia wasn't too sure about the water thing until we got her in this little boat.  The 2 older kids were great in the water and I was thrilled to see that the swimming lessons they took this year helped them in the water. I am so glad we were able to go have fun and make memories with Grandma and Grandpa Guymon....thanks for the great time and for getting in the water with us!!

Happy Birthday Jenna....

Because of the Top of Utah Half marathon Jenna got to celebrate her birthday at the Guymon's...she was so excited.  She waited almost ALL day to open her presents...she was so anxious to open them and see what toys she got.  She was so excited to open some Littlest Pet Shop stuff and some more Strawberry Shortcake stuff.  She is one fun little girl.  Grandma and I bought some cupcakes at Wal-mart with princess rings on them for her big day too, she couldn't have been any more happy!  After present opening we went to Hyrum Dam and played in the water...we had such a great time (I'll put more pictures on the next post) and then had pizza and pasta at the park per Jenna's request for dinner.  It was such a fun day spent making this little girl feel special!

Team Brandmakers....

Jake participated in the 1st ever Grand Teton Relay this year.  The Grand Teton Relay is a 12 person running relay covering 180 miles of beautiful and challenging terrain that includes Island Park, Grand Targhee, and Jackson Hole.  He came home super sleepy and not as positive as I thought he would be, but as soon as he woke up from a 12 hour sleep he was ready to sign up and do it again next year!  I've heard relay's like this are super fun and worth every minute, but I'm not sure when I will be able to take that leap!!

Top of Utah Half Marathon...

Jake decided to train for a marathon this year and in that training he decided to run the Top of Utah half marathon again.  He was amazing and pushed himself really hard especially since he ran the Grand Teton Relay (180 miles overnight) with a bunch of people the weekend before.  He is amazing!
Jake was 17th in his age division, with a time of 1 hour 38 minutes!

JennaMarie's 4th birthday...

Jenna turned 4 in August and wanted a party at our house, playing in the water and eating Macaroni & Cheese :)...gotta love simple requests.  I was happy to oblige on this one.  We invited the friends over for a fun water party.  Jenna also wanted pink cupcakes with princess stickers on top...another easy request.  It was fun to give this girl just what she wants because she is so happy all the time.  She received some fun gifts and loved every minute of the attention this time...no hiding when we sang the birthday song to her :)!!

A trip to the Zoo...

Grandma and Grandpa Guymon came up to spend the day with Anthony for his birthday.  We decided to go to the zoo with them.  It was SO much fun.  Anthony had to wear his new backpack full of stuff in case he got hungry and had to hold the map and direct us which way we should go.  The weather was perfect and we got to see a lot of the animals that we usually don't get to see. Thanks for coming up and making a special memory!

Jenna thought it was fun to look like a Zebra :)...

Ucon Days...

They did a memorial for the park and we bought a "paver" with our family name on it and then all of our initials below it...in case you couldn't tell what it was :).

The City of Ucon always has a fun celebration of their founder's day. This year marked 100 years so it was extra special.  Jake ran the 10K race that morning, then ran the Fun Run with Anthony and then we spent some time over doing the activities.  Jump roping, face paining, 'train' rides, Ralphie the camel and lots of other carnival type games were lots of fun for the kids.  It was a fun morning!
