1 month old...already...

Lydia is one month (and a few days) old. I can't believe how the time flies by. It has been fun to have her in our home and watch the older kids make sure she is taken care of.

She sleeps well, but is so NOISY. She grunts and talks all night long. She will not be sleeping in our room as long as the other kids if she keeps this up :). It is cute in the day though!

I still haven't figured out what to do with her hair because it is rubbed so much....but we love her having so much hair! That is the first thing people comment on when they see her.

Outfits...

Jenna and Anthony are really in to dressing up right now. I was cleaning my closet the other day and Jenna found Jake's belt. She wanted it on so we wrapped it around her twice and she just giggled. She then went over to Jake's drawer, got out some socks and wanted those on. She thought she was the cutest thing ever. She was so excited when Dad got home and ran out to show him what she had on. When he came in the door she pointed to her belt and then lifted her foot up to show him her socks. We just love our little Jenna!!
This is her showing us her socks.
Here is her belt..
And here is her Dad that she LOVES so much!!

Snakes...

I'm not sure how happy I am to post this, but it was cute in a weird way so here we go :).

Jake was mowing the lawn a week or so ago and almost mowed over a little water snake. Anthony didn't want anything to do with it at first, but after Jake bribed him :)...he loved it. Jenna also didn't want a single thing to do with it until Anthony decided he did. So, after they decided to like this thing, they took turns picking it up, putting it down and letting it slither away a little and picking it back up. They just giggled and giggled. Jake then asked Jenna where the tongue was and Jenna pointed to its head and the snake prompty stuck out his tongue. So, that was the new game. We had to stop Jenna from licking the snake to try to get his tongue to come out. It was quite funny!
(And Yes, Jenna has a killer outfit on! More pictures of that to come!)

I LOVE being a MOM!!

I am just overwhelmed at the LOVE I can have for my children. I am so glad that I have been blessed with the ability to be a mother to my children. They are the greatest kids anywhere. I cannot even imagine being a career women over having the time I do with my children. Mother's Day is such a great day to remember how much fun it is to be a Mom!

I am such a proud Mom too. Anthony gave his first talk in primary yesterday and did a fantastic job. He couldn't have done any better. He was so excited to get dressed for church, put on his new Sunday shoes and get up and talk. During the opening song, he heard the words Heavenly Father, the Holy Ghost and baptism. All the things he was going to talk about. He turned to his Dad and said...I'm going to talk about those. He was just so aware of what was going on and LOVED every minute of it! We are proud of you Anthony!! He also got up and sang in sacrament meeting. He even sang some of the words :). It was so amazing to see that what we had been teaching him was actually sticking in his brain!!

Jenna is such a sweet little girl. She is such a little Mom and would take care of all of us if she could. She has to get Anthony a treat anytime we give her one. In fact, she won't take one until Anthony has his. When I ask Anthony to do something, she runs over there to help too. I hope she stays like this forever.

And where do I even start with Lydia. Babies are such miracles and to have had one so close to Mother's Day, it is easy to remember how blessed I am and how much Heavenly Father loves me. I love to just hold her and look at her little nose, mouth, hands, feet and eyes. It is so amazing to have my other kids want to hold her and love her too.

I LOVE BEING A MOM!!!

All is well...

Lydia has had quite the hard time adjusting to this world. She had jaundice so bad she had to be on the Billiblanket...but we are now done with that!! HOORAY!! She also didn't pass her hearing test in the hospital, which is fairly common. She had her follow up test today and passed with flying colors! HOORAY!!

She has been a great baby though...thank goodness. She even puts up with her brother and sister poking and wanting to hold her all the time. She sleeps for 4-5 hour stretches at night and eats like a champ. Here are a few cute pictures of her from yesterday. I actually got her hair to curl instead of sticking up all over the place :).
I am also happy to report that I survived getting all three children and myself ready for the day, out the door and made it to my appointment on time! Maybe this three kids thing will work out after all!!

Toys?

Why, as parents, do we buy toys? All we need is what we already have!!

Fun with Grandma Guymon...

I'm not sure what we would have done without my parents the weekend Lydia came. Jenna was sick throwing up the night we came home from the hospital and my Mom was able to help with Lydia while Jake and I took care of Jenna. Grandma and Grandpa Guymon were lifesavers and played with the kids to keep them occupied while we rested! THANK YOU!!
Fast forward to this weekend...my mom came up on Wednesday night and guess what happened. Anthony was sick throwing up! So, Grandma Guymon was here just in time to help with that whole mess too! Luckily they both got better very quickly!
Grandma stayed through Saturday and the kids had so much fun with her. She brought them a new playdoh set and they played that for HOURS. Thanks Mom...you are the best!!

Jaundice...

We have made it through the first week of having 3 kids :). It has been quite the change, but with lots of help from Grandma Guymon, Jake and friends, we made it!

We took Lydia to the doctor and she has jaundice. She has been having to lay on the billiblanket since Thursday night. It has been hard to not be able to hold her without a bright light on her back and a cord coming off of her. We are just grateful this is a very treatable condition! I hope she is off the blanket soon!! Here is Lydia at one week old. I'm so glad she joined our family!
