4th of July...

What a fun holiday!  Always lots to do!  I ran the Firekracker 5K again this year.  I ran it with my sister-in-law Katrina and it was GREAT!  She pushed me to keep running a faster pace than I thought I could and I totally crushed my goal of 33 minutes!  I came in about 30:46.  It was so awesome!  Can't wait to keep running more races.

After the race, we went up to the Rexburg parade again with the Snell's and Russ' family.  It was a great parade!  The kids had a great time and enjoyed the many otter pops that were thrown their way.

This year we actually stayed home after the parade and just relaxed the rest of the afternoon until we met our friends the Parkers for the annual BBQ at Freeman park. The kids ran around all evening and we ate and had lots of fun!  Can't wait to do it all again next year.

Chuckars Game...

I won some tickets on Facebook to see the Chuckars play on the 3rd of July.  We love going to the baseball park!  The kids love watching the bird the most and eating the cotton candy, but at least they have a good time!  They Chuckars started out the game doing really well, until 1 inning they let about 6 runs in and never caught back up!  Oh well, at least it was a beautiful night and we had a lot of fun!

Ribgy Lake...

I've lived in Idaho for over 6 years now and I have been to Rigby Lake more this year than all 6 years combined.  Jake bought a season pass because he is training for a triathlon so we have gone swimming quite often...almost 2 times a week.  The kids absolutely love it and have really taken to the water.  It has really helped them make the jump in being comfortable in the water. It has helped them with their swimming lessons too which is a huge plus!  I love going to the lake because it is so relaxing and the kids love it!  It is a lot of work, but fun is had by everyone, so it is worth it!

Popcorn Bucket...

Oh how I love this age...and this cute little boy!  I am not sure when he decided he could grow up, but he sure did it fast.  He toddles every where, he gets into EVERYTHING and he is so cute we just smile at him.  My Mom & Dad sent us a 4th of July package and in it where these cute little buckets.  He thought he was the coolest thing ever when he was carrying it around the house with popcorn in it.  He just walked around and around and ate his popcorn out of the bucket.  Love him!

Western Regionals...

We took Anthony to Western Regionals wrestling again in Pocatello.  He did really well and we were pretty happy with how he wrestled.  For his Folkstyle tournament, he won 2 and lost 2.  For his Freestyle Tournament, he ended up missing his first match (so he lost), had a bye and then lost his 2nd match but not without a fight.  He really did wrestle well.  Hopefully next year when he is a 2nd year Bantam he can do even better!  We were very proud of how he did this year with wrestling.  We love watching him improve and adjust to the difficult situations he has to be in.  He was super excited about his new singlets and that he got to trade one of his old ones so he came home with quite a few new ones!

A trip to Vernal...

During June we took a trip down to Vernal where Jake's brother Jeremy and his family live.  It was quite the fun trip.  We packed as much as we could into the 3 days that we were there.  The kids actually did really well in the car so we were happy about that.  We went to the Natural History Museum, we swam at the FREEZING cold pool, we went to see petroglyphs, we went and saw the wall of bones and we hiked to the side of the reservoir to see the prints of dinosaurs out in the open.  All were amazing in their own ways.  The kids had a great time finding the "painted on the trail" tracks on the way to the real tracks.  It was a tough hike on a very hot day but they all did great.  Jeremy and Becky with the boys were great hosts and we really had a great time!  Can't wait to make more memories!!!
