Lydia Alice is here...

Wow, after so many long and tiring months, babies sure come quickly when they decide they want to. We are pleased to announce the arrival of Lydia Alice Williams on April 24, 2009 at 9:26 AM. She weighed 8 lbs 14 ounces and was 20 inches long. We are so glad she decided to come to our family!!

Here is the story of her arrival....Thursday night, I started having contractions that were 4-6 minutes apart for an hour. So, considering our history with Jenna (really quick labor), we decided it was best to go to the hospital to be safe. When we got there, my contractions all but stopped. Talk about frustrating. I was dialted to a 4-5, but wasn't very much effaced so they monitored me for a few hours to see how things were going. Considering my history, they decided not to send me home because when baby decided to come, it would come quickly. So, they admited me, gave me a sleeping pill and told me we would wait until the doctor came in that morning to do anything more. My doctor came around at 6:30 AM, decided to break my water and go from there. 8 o'clock rolled around and I finally started to feel something. HOORAY!! Maybe this baby would come after all. 8:30 came and I wanted some pain medicine...Fentayl was GREAT! It took the edge off the contractions, but I was able to rest up for when the pain really started. I was able to handle the pain this time without too many screams and I didn't even scream at my nurse this time.

9:20, the nurse checked me, told me not to push until the doctor came and called the doctor. Good thing the doctor's office isn't far from the hospital. He came in, put his scrubs on, turned around and said push. 9:26, I pushed and out came the head, pushed again and out came Lydia Alice. It is always so amazing to bring a little baby into the world. She is healthy, beautiful and a great eater!! Her brother and sister just adore her already and Anthony has been a huge help! We already love having her in our home!!

Nurse Jenna...

Maybe this is a sneak peak into Jenna's future??

We had already taken Jenna's hair-do out for the night, but she still looks cute anyway!!

Best Friends...

I hope I don't jinx anything by writing this post, but I wanted to remember what good friends my kids have been recently. Anything that Anthony does, Jenna wants to do too! She goes to him to help put her shoes on, take her outside and help her down the stairs. He loves to help Jenna get her blanket and binkie when she is sad. He has really enjoyed being a good big brother lately...which he makes sure we know!
Just the other day Jenna was really sad because her Dad told her 'No' :). Anthony said, "Come here Jenna." She went over to him and laid her head on his shoulder and he gave her a huge hug and she just smiled. It brought tears to my eyes!
I hope they continue to always be best of friends!

Easter Bunny...

For Easter the kids got spoiled a little bit. We have been wanting one of these picnic tables forever, they happened to be on sale the week of Easter and we didn't know what else to get the kids...so they got a table! They LOVE it. Until the weather gets warmer, we have it in our kitchen and they sit there to eat.

According to Anthony the Easter Bunny hopped right in his house, dropped off the table and hopped right back out! He tells anyone that asks about the Easter Bunny that. I think it is the cutest thing.

Workin hard...

Saturday was a beautiful day so Jake and Anthony worked hard outside!! Well, Jake worked hard and Anthony kept him company. Jake laid all these cinder blocks on each side of the fence creating wonderful beds for raspberries, grapes and strawberries! He had to haul the dirt from the other side of the fence. It was a good thing he had a helper to ride in the wheelbarrow so he had it 'full' both ways! Anthony had SOOO much fun being Dad's helper.

I'm sure he will be a great helper when eating the fruit!

Fire truck...

One of our friends is on the volunteer fire department for Ucon City and was at the Easter Egg Hunt all dressed up in his fire uniform. He let the kids get in the firetruck and they were all smiles!! Anthony thought he was so big and Jenna didn't want to get down. Thanks Jared!!

Happy Easter...

This was our Easter 'Saturday'...

We had a fun Easter this year. We got to have my parents here to enjoy in the festivities. We went to the Ucon Easter Egg Hunt, which is probably the best egg 'find' I've ever seen. So organized and well done. Both kids got to be in the age group of the tennis courts this year, so that was fun! We barely made it there to be in on the fun, but we did have fun!! The kids get so excited about the candy outside the eggs, they hardly pick up the eggs! Jenna had both hands full of candy before she decided she needed to put it in her basket.

After the hunt, we came home and dyed Easter eggs with the kids. They had more fun after the eggs were dyed when they were coloring their hands and putting stickers on the eggs. Oh well, at least we tried!!

Which one will it be??

With the past two kids it has been fun to see what people think our little one will be. I've even added it to my scrapbook for them. Let me know which coming home outfit i'll be using this time :)....only 2 (pray for less) more weeks to go!!

The great feeder canal...

Once a year, the water gets shut off of the HUGE canal that is connected to the Snake River. This canal is as big as the river as it feeds into all the little canals around town. So, the fish that come from the river and get caught in the canal are going to die because the water is gone. They let you catch these fish anyway you can. You can pick them up with your hand if you are fast enough. Its fun to see how many you can get with a net. We try to fish them out too, but they aren't too interested in feeding when they are in a tiny little pool of water.

We took the kids up there the night they turned the water off. Most of the canal was already drained off and we were able to find a few pools with fish in them. The pool we found this night had mostly white fish in them, but we were able to get a few trout out. Jake went the next night with his scouts and netted tons of trout and big ones at that. It was fun to get out of the house and enjoy the outdoors...especially since yesterday we got a HUGE snow storm that left us with way too much snow for April.

Anthony and Jenna both had fun riding the four-wheeler, throwing rocks and catching fish!

Hooter hider...

I think these 'hooter hiders' are a great invention! I needed a nursing cover, but wasn't willing to pay the price for the ones I found online. So, I made one instead. I think it turned out quite cute!!
