Lydia Alice...

It is so crazy the difference a year makes...
My little Lydia is 1. It is so bitter sweet. I love them as they grow and learn, but once they turn 1 it seems like they think it is okay to be big :). Lydia is quite the cheese-ball lately. She loves to laugh when someone else is laughing. She has to make sure someone is looking at her almost all of the time if someone else is in the room with her. If she is by herself, she is sooo good about playing with toys. Sometimes she will even crawl into the toy room and just play in there for several minutes.

Lydia loves to smile. She has curly hair that I cannot get to stay down on the sides, so it is constantly coming out looking like wings. It is pretty cute though. She has 6 teeth and is working on several more. She seems content to crawl, but every once in a while she stands up by herself and wills herself to take a step, but then quickly gives up and crawls.

She loves to dance...any time music comes on she just starts twisting her little body. SO CUTE! Still trying to capture a video of it. She loves her brother and sister and loves to try to do anything they do.

We LOVE you Lydia!!

Another fun FHE...

We talked about Joseph Smith and the Sacred Grove for FHE, these are the kids painting the sacred grove with their fingers :). Jenna LOVED the idea of finger prints for leaves, but Anthony got a bit more creative.
These are one of the other projects I have completed lately, cute little aprons for them to play with, craft with and just wear because they like them :)!!

72-hour kits done and in the garage...

I can now say we are prepared :)....oh wait, I still have lots of stuff I can get ready in other areas. At least we have a 72-hour kit available and in the garage for easy access.

The kids are so excited about their emergency backpacks. They want to use them already :). They wanted to help so bad so I had them take them upstairs to put them by the door to the garage. This picture was right after Anthony fell down the stairs because Jake's backpack was too heavy and once he got to the top he tipped right over and back down the stairs. I warned him to not put it on his back :)...

Ralphie the camel has 2 humps...

Have you ever sat on a camel? Have you ever seen a camel so close? Have you ever rode on a camel?? Jake can say he has done all three. Jenna can say that they have pet and sat on a camel! Anthony can say he has pet a camel!! Grandpa Williams couldn't be happier!!

We love all of Grandpa Williams' animals! Just glad the camel likes us too!!

Easter Saturday...

The Easter bunny comes to our house on Saturday and we do all that kind of stuff that day so we can concentrate on the real meaning on Sunday...or so that is what we try to do :).

Anyway, Saturday morning Anthony woke up to blue and green jellybeans in a trail outside his door. He was so excited that the Easter Bunny had come to his house. He followed it down to the couch and found his Easter basket. A bike helmet, bubbles, a coloring book and a little candy. He was so excited he kept running up the stairs to tell us what he had gotten each time he discovered something new. As soon as the door cracked open to signal Jenna was awake, he ran upstairs and told her to follow the pink and purple jellybeans :). She was so excited to see her basket too! Gotta love having kids. The Easter bunny didn't take a picture on my camera before the kids found the baskets...:(...

After they found their baskets, we asked them if they wanted to still go find Easter eggs at the park even though it was snowy, blowing and FREEZING outside. They both said they did so we got the snow clothes out and off we went. We left Lydia at a neighbors house because it was just too cold to take her out. The Ucon Fire Department puts on the hunt each year and this year they just put the eggs in baskets, had us line up and shoveled eggs into each child's basket. Each year they have a bunch of prizes and my kids actually got prize eggs this year. Jenna got a bathroom bundle of soap, toothpaste, brush that kind of stuff. Anthony got a cute little tractor and they both got bubbles. Even though it was freezing it was kind of fun. The kids got a ton of candy and WAY more Easter eggs than they ever would have picking them off the ground. Gotta love Spring in Idaho!

Can't wait for Easter next year!!

Easter Week...

We had a lot of fun the week of Easter. I didn't feel well, but I needed the kids to be good so we did a fun activity each day after nap time. We decorated cookies, made rice crispy nests, colored Easter print outs and dyed eggs. I already posted pictures from the cookies, forgot to take pictures of the dying eggs, but had a few cute ones with the kids and their nests.Lydia was trying to be shy.

I think I have such cute kids! Its fun to have them get so big and be able to do things. They grow up too fast, but some of it is fun!

Projects...

I have been able to finish quite a few projects lately. It is amazing what I can get done when I'm not sewing 25 quilt tops for humanitarian or working much anymore!

I covered the star in my kitchen because the walls were too much the same color. I love how it turned out!

I also covered my piano bench because it had seen better days. This is the material that my curtains are made out of. I also recovered a pillow that was purple in this material to tie it all together. It looks great!

I have a few more projects done, but haven't gotten a picture of them yet, so they will be up shortly hopefully :)!!

Just had to...

Jake just LOVES to put our kids pants on their head. I seriously have a picture of every child like this. Couldn't leave Lydia out! She looked so cute and thought she was so funny. She didn't want to look at the camera though, so this was the best I could get....Silly kids!!

Grandpa Williams has a camel...

Grandpa Williams finally got a camel. He has wanted one for just about forever...Ralphie joined the menagerie of animals and is quite fun to watch! The kids are super excited for it to get a little warmer so they can go ride him....stay tuned for those pictures!!

FHE...

Last Monday for Family Home Evening we learned why we use eggs to celebrate at Easter time and of course had to decorate cookie eggs and eat lots of frosting. I'm not sure I will do this again so close to bed time because the kids were WIRED from all the sugar! They had a good time though. Anthony does his cookies all by himself, Jenna needs only a little help. When did my kids get so big?

Stuck in a stool and happy about it...

I could hear Lydia giggling while I was in the other room reading my book and so I thought i'd come to see what she was laughing about... I found her inside the stool just thinking she was the funniest thing. I started laughing so hard the kids came up from playing downstairs and Lydia was loving that everyone was laughing at her. She wasn't very happy when I took the stool off and got her out!

Just a few funny things...

We have had some ants downstairs in our bathroom lately. Jenna isn't very fond of them, in fact she is quite scared of them for some reason. She was doing her potty dance and I told her to go into the bathroom and go potty. When I checked on her to see if she had gone in, she was in spiderman slippers, carrying guns and shooting the ants on the way to the potty! I couldn't stop giggling it was so cute! She made it to the potty, just in her own little way!!

Anthony is obsessed with wrestling. We asked him if he wanted to do an Easter Egg Hunt this weekend or if he wanted to go to a wrestling tournament, his reply was "Mom, I can do an Easter Egg Hunt next year, I want to wrestle."

Lydia dances EVERY time music comes on...even dances sometimes to the music in her head. I am still trying to get it on camera! She is also really into biting her spoon when we feed her and she will look up to the sky and open her mouth like she is a little bird. She is growing up too fast!

LOVE MY KIDS!!
