Been busy sewing...

I've had the fleece picked out for Jenna's blanket for a long time. I just never got around to getting something done. When I saw a rag quilt recently, I decided my little Jenna needed one. When I was sewing Jenna's, Anthony thought he needed one too. So we went to the fabric store to pick out his material.
He picked every piece that is on there and is so proud of it. He loves the 'shooting' material (camo) and wants to shoot the deer that are on it too. He loves green too so the blanket is perfect for him.

I ran out of the tan material and Jake gave the suggestion to put an "A" on the back of it. Anthony was super excited to learn that it was there!!

Valentines 2009...

Kids sure make holidays a lot more fun at my house. Jake went fishing in the morning (my present to him) and so we waited to give our kids their presents when he got home. When Jenna woke up from her nap, she found a trail of hearts that Anthony had laid out for her. They lead her to a stuffed animal kitty complete with sunglasses. She was super excited. She followed the trail of hearts like she knew just what was going on. Anthony had fun leading her to the kitty too.
After she found her present, Anthony got to find his by playing the hot and cold game. He was so excited when we started saying warmer, warmer, he could hardly believe it. He wanted to play again right after he found his Legos!

This time we must have gotten good presents because they actually play with them, not just the box they came in ;).

Valentine Cookies...

We decided to have a Valentines party with a few of our friends! The kids decorated cookies, ate frosting, candy and few bites of lunch and laughed a lot! They made a mess, but they sure had a lot of fun!!

Sledding...

Every time it snows and EVERY time we pass the pit (which is often, at least once a day), Anthony asks to go sledding. Everyone around here goes there so the snow gets to be ice pretty quickly. If you make it there before it turns to ice, it is way more fun. So two weeks ago, we had nothing to do on a Saturday morning so we dressed up the kids and went sledding. We had just gotten new snow and we had a blast.
Anthony LOVED going down all by himself. Jenna wasn't sure of it at first, but enjoyed it after a few times of going down. After we had enough of walking back up the hill, we came home. Anthony didn't want to come inside so Jake stayed outside and played with him. They had snow ball fights, climbed the mountain of snow in our front yard and laughed a lot! Jenna is looking out the window at them and can't decide if she wants to go back outside or not!
When the days are 'warm' and the sun is shining, I guess snow can be FUN!!!

Jenna and her doggy...

Jenna has always loved animals. She really, really loves Chiga and giving him treats, our kittens and petting them. Most of all, she loves any toys or books that have to do with animals. We gave this toy to Anthony when he turned 1 and he never took an interest in it. When I was cleaning out the toys to rotate in new ones, I found this little barking tag-along dog. Jenna instantly fell in love with it. She LOVES to take it all around the house, pet it, put it in her stroller and 'give it treats'. She has enjoyed this puppy lots and lots!!

This was her petting the dog.

This was her taking the dog for a walk into Nene's room.

She is mad because the dog wouldn't follow her.
The pictures are a bit blurry because she wouldn't hold still. She just wanted to walk her dog. She is so much fun!

Oh the joys of a box...

Last Monday for Family Home Evening, we decided to play in a box. We had just gotten a new freezer for the meat we've collected this fall. Jake brought it in and I don't think I've seen the kids so excited. We just put it on the floor and they RAN through it about a million times. Jake would be a bear on one side and the kids would run from him. We seriously played in this box for about an hour. We still have it in our living room if anyone wants to come and play with the coolest toy ever! It is now a 'drive-in' for food. Anthony sits inside and Jake orders and Anthony and Jenna fix the food, take the money and deliver the food out the window Jake cut out. Who knew a freezer box could be so much fun?!?

I don't remember why Jenna has her shirt off, but apparently she has it off often because I have a lot of pictures of her without it. I'm sure she had just eaten dinner and gotten food ALL over just like she always does :). I guess she can run around now without a shirt and get it out of her system!!
