Wrestling, swimming and sleeping in the bathroom!

This past weekend was quite the adventure. Jake's little brother (well younger..he is quite a bit bigger) went to the state tournament for wrestling. It being his last year and Jake and Anthony loving wrestling so much we packed up the truck and left for Boise (4 and 1/2 hours away). This is a huge thing for our children....they hate the truck. I packed lots of things for Anthony to do, got Jenna to take a bottle and we settled in for the ride. We made it over there without incident and even in time for the first wrestling match. Jon did so well throughout the whole tournament. He took 3rd place in the whole state for 4A. He was amazing. Anthony had such a great time cheering Jon on and when he won was just as excited as the rest of us. He keeps telling us that when he is bigger he will wrestle, take them down and pin them. Jake really hopes this will stick. Another fun adventure for Anthony was the hotel swimming pool. He would jump off the side of the pool and 'swim' to his dad. He has a great time and we loved it becuase it wore him out enough to go straight to sleep. We only had one hotel room and the first night didn't go so well with all four of us sleeping in the same room, so Anthony got his own little personal room.....the bathroom :). We took his little couch he got for his b-day and put it in there. He slept great and the rest of us slept better too!!

This picture is from districts on Valentines Day.

Jenna is rolling all over the floor now. the minute I put her down she starts rolling to the next thing. She LOVES to eat and will eat just about any baby food she can get her hands on. Anthony always wants to try it to and tries to convince us and himself that he likes it :). We aren't convinced. Jenna is now taking a bottle...we are on our way to weaning. She takes it like a champ. I was worried because she had never had one before, but what can I say...she loves to eat. She and Anthony are really starting to interact and 'play' together. it is so fun to have them both in the family.

I just love this picture....oh the joys of what is to come!!

We went to Riverside Boot and Saddle during a break and checked out the cowboy stuff.

We have movement

Wow---I cannot believe how fast the second child grows up. She is already rolling over. If Jenna sees something she wants across the floor, she is determined to go get it and she rolls herself right over to it. It is quite funny to watch! I am surprised at how fast it has happened. She isn't even quite six months old. She loves to watch her brother and tries to get to him at all costs. She is so fun. She has started developing a little personality. She giggles all the time and just sits contently watching what is going on around her. Jenna has started sleeping through the night...FINALLY. I was inspired by my cousin Amanda to start the 'sleep training' so I could have a baby sleep 9-11 hours a night. It worked. Jenna is so smart, she caught on in less than three nights. YAHOO!! I feel like a whole new woman with sleep. Let's hope it continues as Jenna is starting the teething progess full swing. Here are some pictures of her 'rolling' and watching Anthony!

Katie's Kreations

I have wanted to be a crafter/scrapbooker forever. My mom kept telling me about a 'cousin' I have here in Ribgy that owns/runs a craft store and told me to contact her to see what I could do in her store. So, I finally went for it. It has been a learning experience and I still have lots to learn, but I have wanted to do this forever. So, I'm doing it. I started a blogspot that will highlight my creations, made up some business cards and am putting stuff in the store. I hope it goes well, but if it doesn't, oh well. I tried and had fun learning. I will never have to wonder if I could have done it or not. If you want to go see my stuff my blogspot is.... http://kwilliamskreations.blogspot.com/ . The store in Ribgy is called "The Paisley Barn" and it is on the north rigby exit and go back towards the Wendy's...you'll see it! It is a fun little craft store with lots of cute stuff (especially mine). If you ever have questions about what you see, please let me know!

I am also a consultant for Close to my Heart. That has been fun as it has helped me get my scrapbooking done because they make it so easy. Here are a few of the recent pages I've been working on for Jenna..... I hope you enjoy them :).

It's Thursday---indexing day!

I didn't know anything about indexing, so I thought i'd pass on the information to those of you who might be interested in enjoying the blessings of helping ancestors be known. Here is the story behind where I learned about it~

It was the fifth Sunday and therefore a combined Sunday School lesson. I wasn't too excited about it because a lady was 'teaching' it that I didn't really enjoy. I wasn't listening very well until the spirit prompted me to listen up. I had the feeling I was going to know the answer to a question I had been searching for. WOW!! Did I start listening :). She told us about the spirit of Elijah and how we could help in these days. I had been praying for a way to help the church and serve right from my home a few hours/minutes a week. As you all know, we are all super busy with children and can't go out and serve as easily, but from the home...I can do that. She told us about familysearchindexing.com and asked us to participate. Our stake has a goal to index 1 million names by the end of the year. I wanted to help. In my patriarchal blessing I am admonished to do geneology work and I always wondered how and when I was going to get that done. This is my answer. It is quick, easy and actually quite FUN. You can register as a volunteer and download images the church has gathered and enter in names, ages, sex, and birth places. It is an amazing work and I have felt inspired to do it. I am so grateful to know that my prayers were answered and I am able to serve right from my computer. This is not limited to church members, you can do it even if you aren't. We are just helping people so they can find their ancestors and continue the genealogy trail. Please let me know if you have questions! I'd love to help.

We are so grateful!

We have so many blessings to be grateful for, i wanted to express them :). Jake started his new job this week and already likes it more than the two other jobs he has had since we've been married. He comes home with a smile on and even stays after to continue working. He is so close to home (0.9 miles) he gets to come home for lunch and is home within minutes of leaving work. He is so excited to be able to have something to work for and enjoy. We are so blessed to have met Ryan Loftus and be given the opportunity to work with him. He is a great man. Heavenly Father knew Jake needed an enjoyable job. Jake was blessed because he went on a scout outing and sat in the same boat as Loftus. What a crazy life. His first day of work started out in the temple with the Youngmen presidency including his new boss and his day ended early to go serve a ward member with helping move out of her house. Jake was more than happy to have a day like that! We are so blessed.

We are also so blessed to have healthy (other than colds), happy children. They are such a joy and bring so much happiness. I have recently learned of a death to a child who had heart problems. Her mother was a family friend and it is just heartbreaking to hear of someone so young dieing. Thankfully, we have the knowlegde of the next life and that she is with Heavenly Father. It just made me realize that I can live with colds and flus, even though they are hard. I learned this when Anthony and Jenna were sleeping and I gave them both a great big hug when they woke up. We are so blessed!!

Apparently I am not the only one that is ready for summer. Anthony found his swimming shorts and shirt and has hardly taken them off since. I had to force him to put them over his clothes...he wanted to just wear the shorts alone:).

What a night!!

I am amazed every day at how cute my children are in the light. When I wake up with them at night, i'm not sure how cute they are, but i'm so glad they are cute when the sun comes up. Jenna has caught the bug that Anthony has been battling for three weeks now and I don't know what to do with her. She is just miserable, hardly sleeps and just wants to be held. I hope this passes quicker than Anthony's has or we are in for a LONG winter.

Speaking of winter, boy do we have snow. I am tired of the snow and want to skip right to the warm weather with green grass and flowers. I hate the part of winter/spring where it is muddy and yucky outside. Oh well, we are in for at least another month or so! Does anybody want me to ship the snow anywhere?? Here is another picture of Anthony in the snow and Jenna in her favorite pasttime....or is it Anthony's?

Here's to tonight being a better night !!

Giving blogging a try :)

I have read and seen so many blogs lately, I felt left out. What a fun way for people to see what we have been up to and keep up to date with cousins, brothers, sisters, grandparents and just anybody who wants to read a blog. I have been inspired by many of my cousins blogs and have tried to be a better mother, wife and kinder to myself. Thanks you guys!!

Here are some of the latest and greatest pictures of the kids. Anthony is having some fun in the mounds of snow we have. Jenna is just learning to master the art of eating :). And we have been fighting the sick bug for several weeks and here are my binky buddies together just chilling out.

My goal is to add something once a week, so maybe putting that in writing, i'll hold to it! Hope you enjoy my blog as much as I've enjoyed some of yours!
