St. George IRONMAN 70.3...

What a fun journey to be on ... glad it wasn't me doing the work, but it was fun to watch! After the Rigby Lake triathlon last year, Jake and his brother Jared (and a few friends) decided they wanted to jump up and tackle the 70.3 distance, 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike ride, 13.1 mile run.  Wow, right?  We left on Thursday to head down and soak in some sun and the atmosphere.  The spirit was contagious.  There were banners lining the streets and athletes everywhere.  Fun!  We stayed in a friend's parents condo and it was so nice and relaxing to have a comfortable place to stay.

Friday we went out to the reservoir that they were to swim in and checked in the bikes and the boys went for a quick swim.

The morning of.  Waiting to get into the water.  You could feel the nerves!

He made it!  So happy to see Jake come up out of the water!
Coming in on the bike.  I was super glad to see him again!  Got all emotional each time I saw him.  He looked strong and feeling good the whole time.

Yeah!  The finish line shoot...he made it!!

 Celebratory chocolate milk!
