40 mile ultra marathon

Jake has been wanting to do the complete 40 miles of To Bone and Back for several years.  This seemed like a great year to cross that off the bucket list because he had done so much training for the 70.3.  He did so awesome!  We missed having him on the team, but it was fun to know he was doing something he wanted to do so bad.  This was the first time we saw him and he looked remarkably well!  He was a little over 20 miles into it at this point.  We were so excited that he was doing well and on his time goal!

The bottom picture is when we saw him the next time.  He was a little less enthusiastic the 2nd time we saw him but we knew he could do it as he only had about 7 miles left!
This is with about 5 miles left and both Jon and Jared decided they would run the last 5 miles with him, even after doing their own leg earlier in the day.  Jake said they  made a big difference in his moral.  Glad he has great brothers around to help him!

He did it. He completed his first ultra under his goal time.  He did the arm raise for me since I always ask him to show a little enthusiasm when he crosses a finish line :).
