Lydia's 1 year stats...

Height: 29 inches -- 50th percentile
Weight 19 pounds 6 ounces -- 22th percentile
Head: 18 1/4 inches -- 78th percentile

She is starting to think about walking lots more. I have been surprised at how long it is taking her...she is just content to crawl and can get anywhere fast :). She still loves to dance and sing. She talks all the time. She points at something and wants to go see it. Shes loves her blanket to go to sleep and sleeps really good.

We sure LOVE Lydia!!

Muscles...

Anthony is obsessed about having big muscles...he has to try to be bigger than his Dad's :). Those aren't his real muscles, just winter hats shoved in his shirt!! I love kids!

Our trip to Nampa...

We decided to go over to Nampa/Boise for wrestling state because Anthony was loving wrestling so much. We don't go on many family trips so we decided to just make a weekend out of it. It turned out to be pretty fun...except the drive there and back...that was torture. It is no wonder we don't go very often. Friday when we got there we made sure we knew where Anthony had to go for wrestling in the morning, picked up some pizza and went to the hotel to swim! The kids weren't so sure of the water at first, but they quickly turned into fish!

Saturday morning was wrestling. Anthony did really well. He tried hard and had fun doing it. We then went back to the hotel, let Lydia take a nap and the two others swam some more with Jake. We then went to the Science Discovery Center in Boise. The kids had fun running from one exhibit to the next. They liked exploring the different things and had a lot of fun playing in the little market they had there. We then went to dinner at Winger's and headed back to the hotel. The kids wanted to swim again, so down to the pool we went. All the wrestling families were there this time and Jake got attacked by all the middle school boys that he coaches. They never did get him under the water, even when all 4-6 of them were on him at the same time. It was funny to watch!

We won't be making a drive to go somewhere any time soon, but maybe, just maybe we will go on another family vacation before the end of the year :)! PS...I hate the way blogger uploads pictures and that I cannot move them very well. Any tips?

The end of his first season...

3rd place at state!

Signing his name
Getting some last minute advice.
The winner...he got used to this!
Great shot!
This was his "signature" move. The kids that he wrestled were taught how to avoid his half...it still didn't work, Anthony would just jump to the other side and put it in there too!

Anthony had a very successful first season of wrestling free style. He LOVED every practice and tournament. He ended up with 9 medals...5 gold, 3 silver and 1 bronze. He even received a trophy for outstanding wrestler this year. He received the trophy for being the kid in pre-bantum age group to have the most pins (4) in the shortest amount of total time. He is so funny about his trophy. Jake told him that he didn't have one on day and Anthony said "It's okay Dad, I will win another one and you can have it." We couldn't stop giggling!

We are very proud of Anthony, not only because he did great, but because he tried. He did his best, had fun doing it and we couldn't be more proud of how he handled himself! We will have many more seasons of wrestling in this family I am sure of it!!!

New Family Pictures...

It was time for new family pictures! The last ones we did were when Lydia was just barely a few weeks old. For being out on location for only about 30 minutes because it was SO cold, we got some really great ones! Thanks Grandpa Guymon Photography!!

Like Father, Like Son...

We are always commenting on how Anthony is a little Jake.

Just a few examples, let alone him LOOKING like his Dad. Anthony has to have his clothes just perfect, he has to have them fit him perfectly; cannot be too long of a shirt or he tucks it in or rolls it up. He has to have socks on almost all the time...but then LEAVES them everywhere. All of these things Jake did (does) when he was a kid. When I walked into the front room and saw these socks, I about DIED laughing. I couldn't stop giggling.I love my son and his father!

Playing with balloons...

We brought home the party supplies the day before Lydia's birthday because it was going to be a crazy Saturday. She had so much fun playing with the balloons that I was super glad we got them early so she had extra time to play with them. She would let them go, grab the string and pull them down again and just giggle! She just loves to play!
