What a crazy day! Windy, HOT and lots of waiting. We hung out in the hotel pool for as long as we thought was safe and then headed down to the bike/run transition and waited. It was torture not knowing where the boys were and if they were doing well. It was a brutal day for bike riding so it took a lot longer than they thought it would, so we waited for a lot longer than we wanted. After we saw them come in, we went over to see them on the run portion. More waiting. The kids were great sports for how hot it was. They did a great job cheering on Jake and Jared when they went by and supporting all the other "Team Beef" athletes!
It was another very proud moment to see Jake cross that finish line. he worked through some difficult things and did amazing! Hard to believe he has already done 2 half ironmans!
