New Years Eve snowfall!!

We got HIT with snow over New Years Eve weekend and it was Sooo much fun! The kids wanted to go out the first day even though it was still snowing really hard. We were drenched when we got done. We made snow angels, threw snowballs, ate snow, played in the car, chased Chiga and so many other things and THEN...Dad got out the four-wheeler! YAHOO. We tied a tube onto the back of it and off we went. Anthony wasn't at all sure about it at first, but quickly decided it was super fun. He wanted to do it all by himself! We went back behind some of the neighbors houses into an empty field and went crazy. I was COVERED in snow! Then we had to go down to the neighbors and see if they wanted to play too. The first day we stayed out there for about 2 and 1/2 hours, the second day about 2. We of course had to come in after we played and have hot chocolate! SO much fun!
Jake made a fort for him and for Anthony and they had snowball fights!
Lydia even joined in on the fun the second day, when it wasn't snowing so bad! She was all smiles the WHOLE time!
Climbing the massive snow piles.

I LOVE having kids...it brings out the kid in me! They bring so much joy!

Wrestling boy...

Do you think this kid is excited to wrestle soon? He was so excited when I took the Christmas decorations down because that means it is after Christmas and we had been telling him he gets to wrestle his size kids after Christmas! Jake's brainwashing must be working! Keep watching for 'real' wrestling pictures to come soon!

Christmas 2009...

a

Christmas was so magical this year. I love having kids to help bring the Magic of Christmas into our home. Christmas Eve was spent at Grandma and Grandpa Williams and was a nice quiet evening. When we got home the kids went to bed and the elves started working! Jake put together this wonderful kitchen that Santa left for the kids and I put together the morning's breakfast. We were done early enough to even watch a movie! It was a great Christmas Eve! The kids woke up and wanted to see what Santa had brought and so they ran downstairs. Anthony was so excited, he came back upstairs to tell us there was a new kitchen for him! Jenna just stayed to play and see what was in her stocking.

They were both so excited with the contents of the stocking too! Jenna unwrapped the little chocolate Santa's that were in there like they were presents. She didn't even end up eating them...cutie!

After they played with their kitchen for awhile, they decided they wanted to open their presents. Anthony got a hunting toy set, WRESTLING shoes and a subscription to Hidden Pictures. Jenna got a baby doll set with stroller and all, shoes with kittens on them and a puzzle book. Lydia got a ride-a-long, a new outfit and a few Baby Einstein books! They were all excited with their presents. Lydia liked the wrapping paper the most! All Anthony wanted was wrestling shoes so he was SUPER happy. He had to put them on immediately and wore them just about the WHOLE weekend.

After we opened all the presents, had a fabulous breakfast and got ready for the day we headed to Logan. We had a great time there eating, playing with cousins and catching up with family! I LOVE the holidays!!

Making cookies for Santa...

"Santa needs some cookies to eat Mom...." Oh yeah!! Doh...what was I thinking? So Christmas Eve morning we baked and frosted some cookies for Santa! We had the neighbor friends over to enjoy in the fun too! The cookies turned out great and the kids had a fun time doing it!Lydia got to enjoy a non-frosted cookie!

This was right after Jenna took a HUGE scoop of frosting and ATE it....nothing else.
Anthony's cookie was piled high with good stuff! He had to make sure that one was set out for Santa! He is one lucky guy to get so many cookies!!

Here they are sitting up with Parker. Fun, fun days with kids around! The holidays are way better with them! The kids chose three cookies to give to Santa, poured some milk and left some carrots for his reindeer. Santa ate 2 3/4 of the cookies...the kids were excited to see that they were gone!

Neighbor gifts...

This is what my neighbors and friends got for Christmas this year! I thought they turned out quite cute...and Anthony had fun helping me!!

Graham Cracker Houses...

This is Anthony's. I made the house and he decorated it! He was so excited to put bugs all over it! He did a fantastic job!

Every year, but one, since Jake and I have been together we have made Graham Cracker houses and LOVED every minute of it. This year we invited Jessica, Justin and Grandma Williams to come have fun with us! Jake didn't make one this year because he had just gotten back from hunting and decided he needed to eat instead...oh and hold Lydia :)!! We missed his wonderful creations though, he usually goes all out!!

Lydia is 8 months old...almost..

I cannot believe how fast Lydia has grown up. I was telling Jake last night that in my head, she is still about 4-6 months old, not almost 8. I guess that is what you get when it has been a very stressful last 6 months....time just flies!Lydia LOVES to sit up and play with toys out of a basket...she can do it for such long periods of time! As long as we keep putting things in the basket, she will keep playing. Isn't she so cute?

We had Popsicle's the other day while Jake was at scouts and we watched "The Sing off". I was eating one and Lydia was sitting on my lap...you can tell what happened next by the pictures! She took it from me, ate it and was SOOO mad when it was gone. Cute little thing!
Lydia still doesn't crawl, but when you have limited time on your back or belly, that is to be expected. She doesn't get much alone time and anytime I have her on her back or belly the kids maul her and either pick her up and put her on her bum or roll her over or whatever the case may be. If she wants something REALLY bad, she will scoot on her bum to get it! Funny how each child develops so differently!
