Anthony started his running career off with a bang! He was in a running club this year where they met twice a week (when we made it :)) and practiced running techniques and increased their mileage each week all to get ready for a 5K. Jake found this Cady for Safety 5K that benefits Mother's Against Impaired Driving. It was a great first 5K for Anthony. It was down at Freeman Park and they did three laps around. It was a very warm/hot day but it was gorgeous. He did so well. He even ended up winning his age group! He got a $25 check that he still talks about. They pulled up all the kids that it was their first 5K and gave them a water bottle too. It was a great way for him to start his running career as I am sure it will not be his last year competing in running races.
