Oh the joys of a box...

Last Monday for Family Home Evening, we decided to play in a box. We had just gotten a new freezer for the meat we've collected this fall. Jake brought it in and I don't think I've seen the kids so excited. We just put it on the floor and they RAN through it about a million times. Jake would be a bear on one side and the kids would run from him. We seriously played in this box for about an hour. We still have it in our living room if anyone wants to come and play with the coolest toy ever! It is now a 'drive-in' for food. Anthony sits inside and Jake orders and Anthony and Jenna fix the food, take the money and deliver the food out the window Jake cut out. Who knew a freezer box could be so much fun?!?

I don't remember why Jenna has her shirt off, but apparently she has it off often because I have a lot of pictures of her without it. I'm sure she had just eaten dinner and gotten food ALL over just like she always does :). I guess she can run around now without a shirt and get it out of her system!!

Its winter again...

We finally got some new snow to go on top of the ice we have had for so long, so Anthony wanted to go play in it. He stayed out there for almost 45 minutes by himself. The first two pictures are of him being "Uncle Russ". He was laughing the whole time. He was rolling all over the backyard until he would hit the fence and had to turn a different direction.

He loves making "me angels" in the snow.

The snow is fun when you can play in it...but it sure makes it not fun when the high for a day is only 5 degrees! BRRRRRR!!!

Not much going on...

We haven't had much going on in the last week and a half, just pneumonia, croup, runny noses, cough, the flu so bad I couldn't even get out of bed, more runny noses and a lot of movie watching! Just when I think we are on the mend, Jake and I get the headcold the kids have been fighting. I'll be glad when the sickness is over at my house. Until then, here are some cute pictures of the kids.

Our Knight in shining armor...or is it superman?

This is Sir Anthony slaying the Monster Dad (on the blanket that was a wrestling mat) to save Princess Jenna.

Bowling...

Anthony has been asking us to take him "bowling ball" (as he calls it) for quite sometime. We figured a dreary Saturday afternoon was a great time to go. Our friends, the Bartons, came with us. It was fun even though Taylor (who is 5 or 6) got a better score than me. Bowling was not made for pregnant women...at least that was my excuse.
Anthony had a great time and was even a good sport of playing with the pink ball, until he saw a green one! Jenna even got in on the action. She had to stand on her tiptoes, but she knew exactly what to do! It was a fun afternoon!

A rare picture of me and the kids...

Anthony was waiting for the ball to hit the pins...

Here is Jenna trying to be big like everyone else...

This is what Anthony did each time he rolled it himself...watched and waited!

Winter Fun!

This was what we did the few days after Christmas. We went to the Hardware Ranch Elk Refuge and took the sleigh ride. It was amazing to see those animals so close. Then we got to play in the foot of snow that we got Christmas night in Logan. Uncle Russ was doing flips and jumps and had snow EVERYWHERE. The boys couldn't stop laughing. It was such a fun Christmas break!!

Christmas 2008...

We really enjoyed our Christmas at home this year. Anthony was super excited for Santa to have come and Jenna just liked to rip open the presents! What a fun time of year!! After our own little Christmas morning opening presents, eating casserole and enjoying the calm before the storm, we headed to Logan. We had lots of fun with my brothers and their kids!!

This was Jenna's favorite present...the BOX!

A great game of Hungry Hungry Octopus(as Anthony calls it).

Christmas Eve...

Christmas Eve Jake, Josh and Jon all went hunting in Grace for an elk, but never found one, but had a great time snowmobiling instead. The kids and I went down to the Williams to help get things ready and to play down there. Once the boys got home, we ate a wonderful dinner, played with cousins and received our yearly ornament. The cousins got to open their gifts and were all so excited! It was a fun night!

Thanks for the pictures Natalie! I can't believe I forgot my camera. and YES, Jenna has no shirt on because she had jello ALL over it and I ended up throwing the shirt away. She at least has a necklace and skirt on!

Once we got home from the Williams, we put the kids to bed and Jake experienced his first late night as 'Santa Claus'. I wanted him to finish the train table Anthony was getting before that night, but my pestering didn't seem to bother him. We got to sleep before midnight at least! It turned out great! Thanks for making the table Jake!! Here is what Santa Claus left.
