Baby Buffalo?!?

Has anybody ever bottle feed a baby buffalo? Anthony can now say he has!! His Grandpa Williams has some funny dreams and ambitions and has always wanted to bottle feed and domesticate a baby buffalo. So, when one of our buffalo had her baby this spring, he decided to become its mama. He feeds it cow milk out of a bottle about four times per day. Anthony and Jake wanted to go take part in the fun, so we went down there the other day. It was funny to see a buffalo tied up in the backyard drinking out of a bottle. The things we get to see in Idaho! Anthony also got to ride the donkey that day. He actually wasn't afraid this time and asked to go ride it. He wanted to ride the baby, but had to settle for the little one!! So cute.

Jenna has found a new past-time as well. She LOVES to crawl over to the piano and start plunking away. I cannot believe that she is old enough to be able to do it, but I think it is cute (except when Anthony is trying to go to sleep at night and she wants to play). She even tried to do it in Relief Society on Sunday. I'll have to start sitting on the other side of the room!

and...here is my latest creation for the 4th of July. I used my new cricut and sticker maker and it was FAST and easy and I think turned out cute :)...

Confused....

Jenna has LOVED the summer sun. She has figured out how to get the screen door open and goes out the door, plays with the kitties and screams until we come out and take her down the stairs. She loves to be in her pool and especially loves the swing set. I just love baby chub in swimsuits :).

I cannot decide if Anthony likes the summer or really misses the winter :). He found his snow boots under our bed the other day and does not want to take them off. You know you have had too long of a winter when he is in his swimming suit, by the pool and has snow boots on! I had to capture that moment!!

My little artist...

So we have had quite the experience with paint lately, some good some NOT so good. Anthony got a new set of watercolor paints and has been having a great time painting pictures and hanging them on the fridge. That has been so much fun to watch him paint...now to the not so fun part...

I was mowing the lawn and he woke up from his nap. He came out with me for a little while and when I was putting the lawn mower away, he came into the house. I had just painted my toenails that morning with BRIGHT red fingernail polish and had left it on the table (i'm sure you know where this is going). I came in to no Anthony. I called out and said...Anthony what are you doing? Nothing Mom was the reply. Right then I started to panic. Nothing is not a good sign ;). He came around the corner into the kitchen from the living room with my fingernail polish and red pain ALL over his hands. Luckily, he didn't get any on the couch he was painting his fingers on, just all over his arms, fingers and his pants. Anybody know how to get fingernail polish out of clothes? We were very lucky it only got where it did. It is not a color you can hide very well.

Here are some pictures of my little artist:

A weekend in Logan...

Wow---we had a fun weekend. Anthony, Jenna and I packed up on Thursday and went to Logan. We had so much fun with Grandma and Grandpa Guymon.

We got so many things done, but the highlights of the trip were....
First and foremost...I RAN A 5K!!! To those of you who don't know, I have never ever been a runner. EVER. There is a relay race here in Idaho Falls that is 40 miles and you run 5 miles of that with 8 people on your team. Anyway, Jake wanted to run it and so I said....why not? I can train for that, can't I?? WOW....running is hard. So, when I got down to Logan, my mom told me it was the Providence City Fun Run on Saturday and thought I should try it out. I thought it might be a good idea...so off I went to run on Saturday morning. I had mixed feelings and thoughts throughout the run, but I FINISHED. I finished with a time of 36 minutes and 57 seconds. I thought that was great for never having run 3 miles in my whole entire life before. There were times during the run when I wondered why I paid to torture myself running, but was very satisfied with the end result.

Our other highlights were having grandpa take CUTE pictures of my kids (see the side bar and below), finishing a quilt for my bed, laminating a BUNCH of file folders and FHE activities, having Uncle Myron help my TMJ pain and just having fun with family and friends.

New addition...

We got KITTENS!!! I was so excited when our friend's cat had kittens and they said we could have two! I love kittens and watching them play, meow and clean their little faces. I wanted an orange one because the only cat I remember from my childhood was orange and white, but that one was a boy and we wanted girls.....we got an orange/white/black one and a black/white/gray one. Their names are Reeses and Pieces. Jenna wasn't quite sure about these new little fur balls. Here is Anthony and our friend Katie with the kittens. Katie brought the kittens from her house! Thank you Bartons!!
Anthony has LOVED the kittens since they came. He has taken great care of them and made sure our dog doesn't get them, they have food and water and that they go into their house.
We are hoping Jenna likes them a little more each day :)!!

Reeses is the black/gray one and Pieces is the orange one!

Artscow--update

A little while ago, I posted about Artscow, a new online photo printing place. I placed my first order and was surprised to see just how much shipping was. I later learned that they were from Hong Kong. So, I divided the shipping cost out into the free prints I was getting and they still ended up being .09 cents and that is still a good deal in my book to have them brought right to my house. I was anxious to see what the prints would look like and how long it would take to get them to me. Boy was I surprised when they got to me 5 business days later! It was the fastest shipping I've had with an online photo company!! AND I love the prints. They are clear and wonderfully colorful! I am very happy with the results. It is worth doing it while I can get 400 free prints and a whole bunch of extra free stuff when you order and they keep adding more free stuff to my account. This offsets the shipping fees, I think. They probably won't keep my business forever, but while I can get something 'free' why not??

If you want to sign up and get some free digital prints made....go here!! Enjoy your 'free' prints and I want to see the scrapbook pages you make up with them :)!!
