What a month it has been. We went from thinking what the heck are we doing here, to how can we stay here forever! It has been a truly amazing experience being here on the island of Sicily. We have had an amazing adventure here, one that I am not ready to leave, but will have to. The people have been more than welcoming and loving, the food has been wonderful, the gelato amazing and the sun warms to the soul but don't forget that we have had the wind to keep us constantly thinking of our Idaho home.
Some of the things that will not quickly be forgotten is the gelato, Mt. Etna's eruptions (we got to see more in this one month than they sometimes see in a year), the Sicilian flag (which I think is creepy looking but the kids think is funny, the constant eating of pasta and bread, the castle in the clouds, the mosaics, the temple ruins and so, so many more things.
Thank you Sicily for being so amazing. We hope to revisit you again some day!
Now off to Naples and the adventure and unique experience we are sure to have up there!!
