I really have loved being here and learning all these new things about the world. It amazes me every day th we have been given this opportunity and am fully embracing the crazy, amazing and silly that we have run into!
- They drink bottled water here but they give you a plastic cup so you can pour it into the cup and drink it out of there. They are big into recycling here too.
- Their crackers, cookies, breaksticks, anything packaged comes in little packages inside the big one. Good for portion control and also to keep things from going stale.
- Emails and correspondence from the people back home are priceless. I can understand why missionaries get excited to get mail!
- The streets are tiny and their cars come with a button to automatically 'close' your side mirrors.
- Just when you think you learn something, it changes. The 2nd time we got produce at the store, we didn't have to take it to the weigh station.
- See above and be VERY adaptable to your current situation!!
- Be prepared to get wet when it rains here. It is very serious about a large rain storm.
- Each area of Sicily has it's very own beauty. Each one has their own crop type that grows in their region and it makes it their area very unique and beautiful. As we drove through more country side this weekend, it was amazing to see how as we went further from the coast, we got more into olive trees, artichokes, and other ground plants that we weren't sure what they were. The coast grows more of the orange and lemon trees. It truly is a beautiful world!

We have been amazed at all of the growing things and different trees and the way they prune them here in California as well. So many more foods, flowers and trees grow in these warm climates! Glad you are still enjoying your adventure!
