The sun came out today so we decided to take full advantage of it and once again get out of the apartment. A few of the times that we have driven downtown the kids have seen this little park with swings and have been dying to go. We decided to make an adventure out of it and take the bus down there. Another experience! It was fun. Owen's eyes were huge the whole way down there just standing there looking out the window as the city passed us by. It was a short bus ride, maybe 10 minutes but it was fun. Once there, the kids had a great time swinging and playing on a different park than what we go to several times a week here by the apartment.
This was the view from the park bench I was sitting on, Castel Sant'Elmo. Funny how that just becomes part of the scenery once you are here long enough.
Earlier in the day before lunch we had gone to the park close to our apartment and Jake "caught" a lizard. Or maybe just it's tail...ICK! The kids thought it was great and since I wouldn't let them keep it they figured a picture was the next best option. EW!
While we were down by the park, we decided to go across the street and see the sea. These huge rocks were fun to climb on and of course the kids couldn't resist the sand and drawing pictures! It was a beautiful day to be outside and enjoy the city of Naples while we are here. I don't plan on ever living in a city again, but it has been a different experience and certainly an adventure worth living. We caught the bus back home and never did get lost! Us country kids can keep our own in a city, I guess!
